P2 Contents Management Software P2 CMS 1.4 [Supporting Lion] P2 CMS is application software that manages P2 contents. The latest version of it can be downloaded free from a Panasonic website. *When using P2CMS on Mac in which Final Cut Pro is installed, DVCPROHD footage cannot be.

I've been scouring DVXUSer, Cow, MacUpdate and the entire web in general, not to mention Panasonic, for sources of earlier versions of the the P2 CMS software that will run on a pre-Intel Mac. Everything I've found and all the statements made by past users say that the P2CMS software Panasonic provides does in fact work on preIntel machines. That may once have been the case by I assure you that it is no longer true. All the links in forums, posts and blogs lead to dead pages. The only current download link it to Panasonics support server and that is P2CMS v 1.4.9 which will not run on a G5.

Yes, one can download it, and one can even go so far as install it, but it will not run. Instead one gets an error message that the application will not run in this architecture. Does anyone have an original ZIP file with older versions of the installer that might run on the preIntel Macs? If some of those old installers are still around, could they be kept on the DVXuser server as resources?

I just received a Panasonic SDR-T50. I'm glad I found this forum because I ran into the same problem. According to the info before I purchased it appeared the cam would work with my mac. However, it does not, unless I go through the steps outlined here.

I tried it on my pc based laptop and the software that comes with it wouldn't load on WindowsXP. Upon further review, the box the camera comes in even states the it may not work with Windows although it is a Windows only program. I have a cheaper Sanyo that works wonderfully with my mac. So I think I'll return this and stick to the Sanyo.

I recently purchased a Panasonic HC-V770 and took some videos of my grandaughter. I then took out the SD flash card and tried to install it on my IMAC which has the latest El Capitan software. Nothing appeared on my screen indicating a new file or even that my SD card was plugged in. I then went to my Icon for PHOTOS (I was told this has taken the place of iPhoto and iMovie) on my tool bar and it did not show me anyway to import the photos from my card. I am new at this and I am totally loss on how I can get my videos onto my hard drive.

Into the camcorder. Photos replaced iPhoto. It did not replace iMovie (which should be in the Applications' directory). Assuming the camcorder can play back the video you captured, turn the camcorder off. Connect the camcorder's USB port to the Mac's USB dirt wth the cable that was included in the box with the camcorder (any other similar USB cable will work, too). Link to the camcorder's manual: Page 212.

Your Mac won't run HDWriter - but you don't need it, so don't worry about this. Page 216 refers to use with a Mac. Basically, connect the camcorder to the Ma with the USB cable.

Power up the camcorder. You may need to have the external power adapter plugged into the camcorder and working AC power outlet). Launch iMovie. Import the video.

Launch Photos. Import the still images.
